This term in reading we are diving into a novel study for the book “Wonder” by R.J. Palacio. This week we are focusing on what we can learn about the characters, especially through their dialogue. Characters’ thoughts and feelings can be revealed through their dialogue. This allows readers to make inferences about their internal perspectives and motivations.
Recount Writing
For writing this week we revised the structure we use to write a recount which is tree.Our task this week was to highlight the features in a recount. The important features to remeber time connectives ,past tense verbs and adjectives.
Maths Revison
This week we are revising what we have learnt so far this year. Revising means looking at something to change it or improve it. This will help when we start assessments soon.
The first task we had was the Revision slides where we had to circle the correct anwsers. we marked this together as a class . The second task was number knowledge worksheet that we marked in a small group.
Bright Family – Response to Text
This week in reading my group read ‘Bright Family’ which is a comic on the Epic app. We were learning how to read texts closely to analyse evidence. On slide 4 we had to create our own backdrop of a universe we think the main characters might come across in the next part of the story. I used the background remover app to put myself into the picture.
